The Society
The Virginia Society for Directors of Healthcare Volunteer Services is an organization dedicated to the professional growth of its members and endeavors to develop, establish, and recommend standards of healthcare volunteer management best practices. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas, skills development, and professional contact cultivation. The Society offers an annual educational conference and vendor fair, as well as opportunities for members to serve in leadership roles within the organization.
Members
Current membership includes directors, managers, supervisors, coordinators, and other professional leaders in healthcare volunteer services. Membership is open to those professionals who are:
- recognized by the administration of their healthcare facility as having major and continuing managerial responsibilities of volunteers
- interested in the attainment of the objectives of, and subscribe to the bylaws of, the Society
Annual VSDHVS dues have been waived, and all professional leaders of volunteers are welcome to join at no cost!
